MLB／爭取哈波巨人想靠高薪短約

大聯盟春訓進入倒數，自由球員市場最大咖之一的哈波（Bryce Harper）仍還沒找到下個東家，根據「今日美國（USA Today）」記者奈汀格（Bob Nightengale）報導，舊金山巨人認真考慮以短約的方式力邀哈波加盟。

巨人隊是在上周與哈波夫婦及經紀人波拉斯（Scott Boras）會面，儘管彼此相見甚歡，卻沒有談出任何結果，畢竟，自由球員所看的重點仍是市場的價碼；哈波先前所效力的國民隊，曾開出10年3億美元（約新台幣92.24億台幣）的價碼，但遭到哈波及波拉斯的回絕。奈汀格在報導中指出，巨人隊不想與哈波簽下長約，而是希望用高薪的短約方式力邀哈波加盟，只不過金額是多少，報導中並未提到。

去年球季，巨人隊曾希望與馬林魚交易史坦頓（Giancarlo Stanton），當時史坦頓還有2.65億美元（約新台幣81.47億元）的合約在身，奈汀格認為，巨人當時肯吃下如此大約，這正好可以用來觀察巨人對哈波的興趣有多高的指標。
